CLEAR BOUNDARIES

How I can help

Turns out life isn’t all puppies and rainbows. All that freedom and independence we often dream about gets lost in a lot of responsibilities pulling us in different directions. But what if you could get closer to the freedom and independence you dream of by getting just a little bit better at saying no, setting boundaries, and being decisive in your personal and professional life? As your coach, I can help. No matter who you are, where you are from, or what you want out of life, you deserve a safe place to work on being who you want to be.

That said, I can't promise the process will be easy. Change and growth are hard, messy, often frustrating work. All I can do is offer to embark on this journey with you as an equal partner. Nothing more, nothing less.

I’ve spent my entire career in Tech and have worked at a wide variety of companies from tiny startups to Tech Giants. It can be particularly challenging to set boundaries in these types of fast paced environments where people are led to believe that everything must be done right now, that saying no is a sign of weakness or lack of teamwork, and that if you set boundaries your job will be at risk. But what if none of that is true?*

What if setting better boundaries is a sign of strength and raises the quality of the work you’re able to accomplish? By leveraging my Tech and coaching experience, I can help you redefine your work environment.

*The sad truth is that 49 states follow at will employment rules (Montana being the exception) and everyone is replaceable - the only question is with how many people.

At work

Many people are raised in families where saying no and setting boundaries is considered disrespectful. They are taught to deal with things independently rather than voicing issues or concerns as they arise. Years later, people find themselves exhausted dealing with these situations and resort to estrangement because they’ve let it go for so long. I believe with the right coaching, you can change the dynamic between yourself, your family, and your friends to achieve mutually satisfying relationships.

As my client, you’ll experience my values firsthand throughout our collaboration.

I’m the kind of person who:

  • strongly believes in integrity. This is a cornerstone of who I am. I prioritize honesty by being empathetic while also direct and straightforward with others. I honor others by being open, even when things might be hard to hear.

  • prioritizes self-care, self-awareness, and self-improvement because the journey matters to me just as much if not more than the outcome.

  • feels best when the various aspects of my life feel balanced. There are times when I will focus more on my health, then my focus will shift to my work, then to my friends and family, then back. Realizing that balance can happen on a larger time scale allows me to make these shifts without judgement. If I look at things from a birds-eye view on a timeline, I see harmony.
